2nd Annual Flying Gamecocks Invitational: April 16-18, 2010

Hey fellow college skydivers!

The Flying Gamecocks Skydive Club at the University of South Carolina and Skydive Carolina welcomes you to attend the 2nd Annual Gamecock Invitational!

(We know it's called an invitational, but every college skydiver is invited!)

On April 16-18 we are hosting the Gamecock Invitational, a Boogie and Collegiate Competition. Join us for plenty of skydiving and competition in the day, and plenty of shenanigans in the evenings! Experience the warm, beautiful blue skies of Skydive Carolina while you meet new friends, make fun jumps, and see how you compete. Taking place in mid-April, you have the opportunity to dive warm weather with other college students before the semester ends, but before you have to start worrying about finals. Skydive Carolina is the place every college skydiver will want to be that weekend! Our goal is to bring college skydivers together for a mid-year friendly competition, and to host a fun weekend whether you're competing or not! This will be a great opportunity for students interested in competing at Collegiate Nationals to come out and give it a practice go-around.

Even if you are not competing, we strongly encourage you to come out for some fun. It's going to be a great weekend, and we are planning fun dives and other activities in addition to the competition.

Competition events include (but are not yet limited to):

• 2 way
• 4 way
• Sport Accuracy
• Funniest short video of the weekend

Registration is only $20, which gets you free beverages, snacks throughout the weekend, an official event t-shirt, free organizing, and of course, boogie bags.

Want to skydive with the best? The US National Intermediate 4-way Champions and Collegiate National 4way Champions, Virginia Tech Skydiving, (now known as Carolina Turbo XP) will be at the Invitational to help organize. You don't want to miss the chance to meet these guys!

Like to FreeFly?! Our very own Adam Pope will be organizing free flying events.

Don't have a team? Don't worry! You can form a pick-up team with other college skydivers who want to compete but have not come with a team. Contact us if you're looking for someone to compete with, so we can get the ball rolling and get as many teams out as possible.
