Community Temporary Site

For those of you that have been on CollegeSkydiving.com for a while, you know we had community features similar to facebook with photo sharing, comments, status updates, etc. We are working on a better system for these features that will be far more reliable and flexible as time goes on. There has been a ton of research done on social networking and also on what specific communities may or may not need. We hope to find a better match between the functionality offered on this site and you, the user.

We will move information like photos over, but not necessarily every status update or comment. Your information is not lost though, we have placed it in a "transition" area for the time being that you can find here:

Community - 2009

This is a separate installation for the community features only. Changing your password on the community site will not change it for the main site, and vice-versa. If you are newly registered, you will not have a new account created on the community site as well, but you will have full access to the new community features when they are launched.

The new system is being worked on and we hope to have a beta version installed on the main site by the end of March. We know this is a wait and seems like bummer of a transition period, but we wanted to have the new functionality where each club has their own section posted ASAP. This will allow us to build on the new framework and continue to move forward with the site.
