Back surgery for me

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to let you all know that I'm headed in for back surgery in several hours here. Got a herniated disc that's pretty bad at L5 S1. It's a pretty common surgery and things should go well. I'll post the results here in a few days once all is done. The herniation is into the nerves there and is crushing almost half of the nerve canal there. It's been pretty painful so I'm actually looking forward to surgery now.

Just wanted to let you all know just in case you start seeing some posts that look they are coming from someone pretty drugged up on happy pain pills!

Surgery went well. It's recovery time and I'm slowly getting back to a sort of normal life here.

Turns out there were several large pieces of disc in my spine and many fragments. The disc was ruptured and the nerves were very aggravated as well. Glad I'm on my way to being better because things did not feel good for a while.

Just a waiting game now to see if there's any permanent damage or not.
